1. Voortrekker Monument
Begin your Pretoria sightseeing experience at the imposing Voortrekker Monument, one of South Africa's most recognisable heritage landmarks.
Learn about the history of the Voortrekkers and the Great Trek while exploring the monument's grounds. Its elevated location also provides impressive panoramic views across Pretoria.
2. Kgosi Mampuru II Correctional Centre — Drive-By
Continue towards the Kgosi Mampuru II Correctional Centre, formerly known as Pretoria Central Prison.
Your guide will provide historical context about the facility and its connection to South Africa's political history, including the imprisonment of political detainees during the apartheid era.
This is a drive-by stop and does not include entry into the correctional facility.
3. Paul Kruger House
Visit the historic Paul Kruger House, the former residence of Paul Kruger, president of the former South African Republic.
